  • A relatively small number of journals produce the majority of scholarly results. In fact, 50% of all citations worldwide are generated from only 300 journals. Hence, careful selection of content is important when you’re looking for impactful research.
  • In 2014, 400,000 papers were published in predatory journals. The carefully selected journal list in the Web of Science contains none of these unethical journals.
  • In 2015, 43 journals were de-selected from Web of Science for not meeting Thomson Reuters stringent standards. No other scientific database rigorously monitors the standards of its titles as Thomson Reuters does.
